I've been in the Navy for the past 18 years. I've done 6 years in Japan and 3 years in Italy. I'll be more than happy to share stories about life overseas.

What physical training you perform to pass the PFA?

I try to maintain an overall training program that includes stretching, weight lifting (3 sets of 10 with the exception of abs which is 3 sets of 20), 2 minutes worth of sit ups, 2 minutes worth of push ups and the elliptical (what I take my test on). I always test myself. That is, I always PT like it's the official PFA. I keep a log of what I have done so as to keep a track of my overall fitness. That way, I know exactly how I should perform on the day of the PFA. I also try to add 5 every week or two. That is, I try to do 5 more push ups, 5 more sit ups, 5 more pounds on the weights. I also try to up the settings on the elliptical to make it a harder work out. Combine all of this d I think that it will help those who are struggling with the PFA. It's helped me.

To me, the importance of being a mentor is to make sure that our sailors are being taken care of. This is especially important for our junior sailors who are away from home and on their own for the first time. . .

I believe that taking care of your Sailors is to be a mentor to them, especially for the newest of us.  Don't forget that for the vast majority . . .

What I think the hardest thing about being an AG is.

My views of life at sea.  I think it depends on the type of ship you are on at the time. On something like an aircraft carrier, watching flight ops was really cool.
